The Louhi parking hall in Turku was constructed in 2001. The parking hall is divided into two floors that both have 300 parking spaces making the total capacity up to 600. The driving tunnel to the underground parking areas is around 350 m long.
The parking facility was renovated in early 2019. The renovation project included repairs and painting of the walls and ceilings, the construction of sanitary facilities as well as the complete modernization of the lighting system.
During their meeting with Greenlux, the parking house operator Q-Park shared their interest in modern lighting technology. Their focus is on energy-efficiency, long service life and an extended warranty. The GPE product series, that Greenlux produces in Finland, proved to be an excellent match to these needs.
Between March and April 2019, Greenlux delivered more than 550 GPE-series luminaires to be installed in Louhi. The electrification and installation in the parking floors, tunnel and service areas took place between May and June.
