Stockholm-Arlanda is the airport where a long and successful partnership between Greenlux Finland and Swedavia Energi started back in 2008. That year, Greenlux supplied Arlanda with enough lighting fixtures to make the project the first large scale LED general lighting installation in the Nordics. This is the project that showcased Greenlux as a pioneer in the field, and made it the airport’s trusted partner in its transformation towards more energy efficient lighting.
In 2016 the Sky-City parking house between Terminals 4 and 5 received 760 GLE-Series fixtures. This was the second major GLE delivery to Arlanda’s parking facilities following the 570 fixtures they had installed in P53 in 2015.
Between 2008 and 2015, the parking facilities at Terminals 5, 4 and 2 received 1450, 750 and 2300 units respectively of Greenlux’s legacy GLG series.
Within the same 2008-2015 time period, the workshops received a total of 2500 GLG units, while a combined total of 2500 GLGs and their evolution, GLEs, made their way to the hangars.
Underpasses and Baggage Sorting also received their fair share of Greenlux Light during the periods 2010-2014 and 2012-2015, respectively. 1500 units of GLG currently illuminate the underpasses, and 2500 others are divided between the baggage sorting areas of Terminals 2 and 5.
The earliest work done between Greenlux and Arlanda also involved customization. 2009 saw the delivery of 470 units of purpose-built fixtures for the public and transit areas in Terminals 2 and 3.
